Description

Brown wood frame, arms, and table; rattan seat and back; back is more open-weave than the seat; varnished; curved footrest screwnailed to legs; curved table lifts up at chair back; front of seat curves under; back legs are straight, front legs curve slightly (concavely); two stretchers at back and sides, one at front.

History

A late 19th century child's wicker high chair belonging to the D'Avignon family. From the estate of Dorothy Graisbery Graham (nee d'Avignon), 567 Church Street, Windsor. She was born November 4, 1897, and married Percy Crichton Graham June 4, 1927. The high chair is circa 1890-1900.
