"These coins would have been in circulation during Sally Ainse's time. Sally Ainse was an Oneida woman who was a fur trader in the Detroit region. In the past, as in the present, money (or the lack thereof) had a great impact in a woman's life." - from Her Stories exhibit This item and others from Windsor Public Library (WPL) were found when the library relocated from Carnegie hall to its new Main library on Ouellette in 1973.
