Gorst's International Photograph Gallery, Windsor, Ont., Canada" appears on the reverse of the photograph; Catherine Campbell was born in Inverary, Scotland. In 1852 she married Donald Cameron and in 1854 the couple immigrated to Canada. They settled first in Blytheswood, Mersea Township, and later moved to Windsor where Donald operated several Drygoods shops and was active in city life.
