Black and white photograph of two sets of semi-detached brick houses, located on the east side of First Street between Brant and Wyandotte Streets; both sets of houses are two storeys with three arched doorways; there are square windows along the fronts of both stories; there is a boardwalk running along the front of the houses and an unpaved road; handwritten along the bottom of the photograph is: "8 semi-detached Brick Houses - East Side 1st St. bet. Brant + Wyandotte Sts. see schedule".

History

First street is now known as Tuscarora Street, which was named by Samuel Smith MacDonell after an Indian tribe in his native St. Lawrence Valley.
